My theory is that moving to a new platform produces frustration. Things you could do easily on the old system are difficult on the new system until you incorporate the mindset of the new system. Frustration is more easily dealt with when you understand that it is just a temporary inconvenience. Just my 2 cents worth. We've already started migrating development off win32 to lin32 for some apps and have an app that has been running on a dedicated RH8 box for (9.2.0.3) for quite some time. I'm hoping that as we test on and migrate to 10g, that it is on a 64 bit architecture. Thinking that the flexibility of AMD Opteron can't be beat for near-term purchases. thanks in advance.
