The reason too is because before you had to have experience before getting the ocp,
if i'm not wrong it was 3 years. This was useful, but not when you really need.

I think now is better, you can get your ocp, from the beggining (even if you never worked) and
this allows you commit less mistakes. But almost every one can be ocp.

I think the reason because there are few ocm, is because is difficult to get that courses, and take a trip to take an exam. And honestly Oracle education should be more easy to reach, because at last, if you take their courses is to use better their product, if you use better their products, the people who bought oracle and hired you, will fell they had bought a better product.
