Of course it depends on your application, your table schema, wether it = is ok to partition according to current suitable column or add new = column. We used partition to purge the old data and it worked quite good for us. I would suggest using partition to drop the old=20 data.
Of course it depends on your application, your = table =20 schema, wether it is ok to partition according to current suitable = column or add=20 new column.
 
We used partition to purge the old data and it = worked quite=20 good for us.
