This went relatively smoothly for me. DO print and follow carefully the = upgrade instructions - there are some important ones, like temporarily = turning off system level triggers with a line in your init.ora. Check = to make sure that all of your kernal parameters are set at the = recommended levels or better - some of them have been upped. We had a = nasty problem with a runaway tnslsnr process until we realised that a = memory size setting in the kernal was too low.

I'm about to upgrade a DB rom Oracle 8.1.6 EE 32-bit to Oracle 8.1.7 EE 32-bit on HP-UX 11.11 Are there any known issues, pitfalls etc. thta I'd better be aware of = before i begin ? Thanks a lot in advance. =20 P.S> No, i can not upgrade to Oracle 9.* neither can i go 64-bit=20 =20 ;-)
