Mogens makes a lot of good points as normal. As usual it's never as simple as we'd like it too be and it depends on how your system runs. One thing that is worth monitoring is changes in statistic values over time.
For example if your buffer cache hit ratio is normally 85% during your peak online usage but then on it changes to 75% this indicates that something significant has changed and probably needs investigating. It doesn't necessarily mean you have a performance problem because if the users are happy that performance is good and batch is performing as expected then all's OK. (BTW I'm aware that buffer cache hit ratio statistics in isolation aren't a good indicator of performance good or bad.)
