No, I'm an American, a member of the OakTable, and I do not now, nor have I ever worked for Oracle. Also, I'm pretty sure the same is true of Mark Powell.

Also, WRT to James Morle, he's got a new white paper out, "Brewing Becnchmarks". It's available at http://www.oaktable.net/
