the other fun thing is degrees. now i have none, nor an OCP [let's not go down that road again, OK?] so i don't even get interviewed for many jobs, and the ones i do i get offered less money. and this is despite my 15 or so years of experience as a DBA, and more as a developer and/or programmer. but i don't have that magic piece of paper.
