List,
The P-I-T-R worked great ( after I typed the correct commands crossing all t and dotting all i's). RMAN worked real slick and only took about 1 1/4 hours to restore the database 70 GIG. The recover from system tape for the 2 datafiles needed took almost 6 hours. Thanks again for you help and suggestions. Ron

List
I pulled the old PDF's out and re-read the commands needed to do a P-I-T-R . I probably made a typing error or typing omission ('", or some
thing else stupid) . The set until command appears to be working now and
the database is being restored from the Level0 backup with archivelogs.
I will keep the list posted.
Thanks,
Ron
