PROBLEM: I have several jobs scheduled for nightly execution and have been working just fine. The preferred credentials are sys as sysdba. Yesterday, I changed the password to the ORACLE user account (to where the exports are created) and my jobs started failing (User authentication failed---no error number). This morning I changed the ORACLE user account password back to what it was and the jobs then completed. WHY? preferred credentials are set to sys not oracle.
