Thanks for your invaluable input. I just wonder whether there are any data dictionary in Oracle by any chance to store such query rewrited statement.

Your assumption is correct. There is no separate session.  

But trace would (hopefully) capture what was run during the session.

I assumed that query rewrite was within the same session. Does Oracle spawn a separate session when using query rewrite?????

  Is there any way to see the query statement after the query statement is rewritten by Oracle with materialized views?
