"It dosnt have a command history (to me tabs are not history)"

Ah... You have to get used to not deleting commands... When you write a
new command just do it on a new line and leave the old one... There's your
command history... Then use either F5, F6 and F7 as appropriate to run the
commands...

"Also, Golden dosnt provide feedback Im accustomed to Eg Commit complete
Transaction set Rollback complete"

Agreed... You have to watch the lower left corner for the "done"
statement... That could be improved...

"Also I don't like the rows updated is in a small corner of the lower right
portion of the screen."

This one doesn't bother me... I'm used to it now...

"I emailed the author and he diddnt seem interested in my suggestions...."

Really? I had the opposite experience... I sent him a couple suggestions
and he put them into the next release...

"Golden is fine for the price and what it does, but I cant use it all the
time. For day to day use I use sqlplusw and a good (syntax highlighting)
text editor."

I understand your view point and there are things that can really turn you
off to a tool... The point I should try to make is that this is one I
like... I can live with it's limitations because it has some really handy
features (tabs, workspaces, favorites menu, automatic date formatting and
the F5,F6,F7 keys)... Plus, it's simple and fast...
