DBA's

Has anyone experienced any problems (rman, recovery, etc) with datafiles larger than 4Gb on Solaris 2.6/ Oracle 8.1.6.2???

ulimit = unlimited.

I have write intensive a 70gb database that stores MS word docs in a long raw table that is currently growing 1Gb per week. The associated tablespace currently has 18 datafiles and I don't want to get carried away adding datafiles but making them too large also concerns me???

Let me know what y'all think.
