Pretty good scripts.
Just looking at them, they appear to be more of the 8i variety.
There are some improvements in 9i and 9iR2 that could be considered,
such as the restore of the control file without a recovery catalog, and
controlfile and SPFILE
autobackups. Also, I'd remove the manual channel allocations and configure
defaults
where possible.
