RE: change file creation date (Strange)

Hi Sinardy,

Here is a snippet from a korn shell script I wrote a couple years ago that may explain your confusion -- NDX is the parameter I pass to the find command:

         # find uses the concept that +n means more than n days 23 hours
         # and 59 minutes.  This statement adjusts to the conventional
         # english meaning of more than n days 0 hours 0 minutes.
         NDX=$(( ${ND} - 1 ))

If you take RAC out of Oracle you get OLE! What can this mean?

Hi all,

I have files that created yesterday
then I move those files to other directory the "date is still remain the same" (when I do "ls -l" is 7 Aug)

but those files didnt match my "find ./ -mtime 1 -print" those files listed in "find ./ -mtime 0 -print"

and then I advance the date to 9 Aug (8 Aug now) and now those files match my "find ./ -mtime 1 -print"

why the unix consider "mv" as modification ?
