Yeah, well, I know how to do that. :)

The trick is getting NetApps to work well with Enterprise level backup and recovery software, so that a trained monkey, or even a duhveloper, can restore. :)

Apparently NetApp doesn't play well with Veritas.

I wrote a hot backup script for NetApp, no database downtime required. The trick is to disable the scheduled snapshots NetApp does, and execute the snapshots via the hot backup script. The script manages all of the snapshots (create, rename, delete).
