From JTESTA@longaberger.com Mon, 17 Dec 2001 07:53:00 -0800 From: "JOE TESTA" Date: Mon, 17 Dec 2001 07:53:00 -0800 Subject: 9i data guard problems Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain Anyone on the list got experience with 9i data gaurd manager and get it working on the linux platform.  I'm trying to get it working for the "new features series" but get the standby created, its moving logs just fine, being applied just fine, then when i go into data gaurd manager and create a configuration, that works fine, i can connect to the configuration fine(so OEM tables are updated fine, i manually checked) but when i try to enable the configuration it bombs:   Fetching Data Guard log file  <----- i've yet to find where its trying to read this from. Error, VBP-1509:  Data source could not be updated, please disconnect and try again, ORA-16596: site is not a member of  Data Guard Configuration.   Weird stuff, if anyone has any ideas, i'd greatly appreciate it, this is unfortunately holding up the data guard new features :(   thanks, joe
