You don't migrate a database from 8.x to 8.x, migrations happen between major version numbers(like 7 to 8), heck 8 to 9 isnt even a migration nowadays.
 
anyway, break out the migration guide( a misnomer at best) and start reading the chapters on upgrading from 8.0 to 8.1.
