I have been working with EBU, in DEC Alpha with Oracle 7.3.4, EBU is just like RMAN in Oracle 8 and 8i, it is using catalog server to store all the information about Backup operations. You can find out all the Scripts  and Command in $ORACLE_HOME/obackup directory. It's just a simple command, and easy to understand and use.
 

Can you give me more details about the problems ?

    Hi Jack,
    I had to use it before.  It's a
    MESS.  Even the documentation and the notes on Metalink are     wrong.  Support gave me some internal documents that showed exactly how     to create/update a repository.  That was the only way I got it to     work.  I think your best option is to call support.     Sorry I couldn't provide more
    info.
