Well I think it is funny in a way of approach, just how silly things can be done.

But it is effective, although not the most pleasant way, but if you see how most layoffs go, they annouce they are doing layoffs, and they will contact people, so everyone sits around and gets nervous for the entire time, while other people get their things together and take what they think they should. And others perhaps cause damage in return.

I don't think it is a great way of doing it, but it does avoid a lot of the bad things related to laying off a large potion of people.

In my opinion, there is no good way to let go of 100 employees.

Maybe it's just too early in the morning and my sense of humor hasn't kicked in, but I don't find it funny at all.

What's the name of the company? I want to warn everyone I know not to work there. Of course, they're probably not hiring anyway...

We were just talking about fire alarms.

Funny thing, a company we know was going to lay off 100 people, so they did a fire alarm, then locked the building. Told everyone who was to be laid off to leave, then opened it about an hour later for the rest.

Not really related, but figured someone would get a giggle of it.
