EXP username/password file=... tables=... query="""where condition""" log=exp.log
That is 3 double quotes with NO spaces surrounding them

UNIX
exp demo/demo query=\"where lname like \'FRAN%\'\" tables=emp

                file=exp.dmp log=exp.log
