I did this from svrmgrl. The database was shutdawn at the time.

svrmgrl>STARTUP MOUNT
svrmgrl>RECOVER DATABASE
svrmgrl>STARTUP

That was it. It worked like a charm. You can also view my TAR(1766421.999) for the blow by blow details.
Oh yea, my dad got out of the hospital last night. He has an infection but they do not know the source. His temperature is back to normal, it was 105(fahrenhiet). Thanks to all for their thoughts!!
