Chuck,

Most ODBC drivers have an idle timeout. There are none that I know of with a timeout while your churning on it. Is this a WEB based application? Some of those, especially with IIS, have a timeout on the web server.

Sorry for the OT. Does anyone know if ODBC has a timeout setting? I have a developer using ODBC to access a database through a custom app. After a couple of minutes of churning on the call, we get the ODBC-call failed error. However, using the same ODBC driver in Access, I'm able to access the database without any problems.

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.
