On Wed, 1 Aug 2001,Jenny Jacobson scribbled on the wall in glitter crayon:

-> I don't know the answer to all those questions. However I was a ham
-> radio operator - K0VIH calling CQ CQ CQ - with a Heathkit DX40 xmitter
-> and an AR88 receiver. Math major in college. Earned an A in slide rule.

ah yes, the humble slip stick. i had a collection, until my first wife burned them. well the ones that would burn of melt that is. she just warped the hell out of the brass ones.;-)

but i still use one, i'm faster on that then a calculator. however the one i have is falling apart and finding a replacement is difficult.;-) so if any of you have one that you no longer want, contact me off list and i can give it a good home for a reasonable price.;-)

and yes i am a geek.;-)
