Just another viewpoint:

The Oracle server newsgroup does have some very knowledgeable contributors - eg Jonathan Lewis and members of Oracle's own ODBC group amongst probably others.

Also, the lazydba list which (if I remember correctly) started this comparison is distinct to the newsgroup.

        This list is like a community with some very knowledgeable and
