You're going to have to be a lot more specific than that. What is the nature of your problem?

I know that there was Unix version of Dev2000 . I have seen the same on
Solaris . If its a charactor based interface and can run on Unix , from Unix
command line ( likes Forms 3.0 ) . I feel it can serve the purpose .
But this question comes in only if 3.0 cannot be run on 8.1.6 .

Cyril,
OK, fair enough. Sounds like we just crossed wires pretty badly. But, run
your browser over to:
http://www.luminate.com/solutions/oracle/mamba.html
You can read about Mamba & even download a PDF on it. Basically it opens up the
database internals to those you really don't want to have DBA capabilities.
Personally I like it, but it does take a little work on your part with those you
give access to. Choose carefully! One cup will provide eternal peace, the
other an eternally ringing pager/phone.

Thanks to whoever it was that mentioned Mamba to the list. This is prett=
y
cool. It shows me a majority of the things I monitor (but not everything=
)
and install was a breeze.
But I'm watching it connect to the database and it looks like it will lea=
ve
dead connections behind when you quit the browser. I see no 'disconnect'=
button in the app. This will take care of itself with profiles, but is
there something I am missing?
Thanks
