Re: creating a new database in NT

Hello Siva

get to svrmgrl as the oracle user.
connect internal
shutdown [immediate] [abort]

shutdown by itself waits until all connected users are off. Shutdown immediate rollsback transactions in progress and goes down. shutdown abort kills the processes.
