Hot backups not ocopy80 all files correctly

Hi DBAs,

I have several backup scripts that do the following on all my tablespaces

1. ALTER...BEGIN BACKUP
2. OCOPY80...
3. ALTER ...END BACKUP

The problem is some of the datafiles get copy correctly with correct timestamp but others
do not and the timestamp has some bogus date/time with them. Oracle 8.0.5 on NT. I have plenty of disk space to copy

If I do a shutdown normal then restart then I get some "needs media recovery" on some of the
datafiles. I can restore/recover ok but do not know why some files need recovery.

Does anyone have any ideas on what may be causing this? Received on Tue Oct 10 2000 - 10:07:10 CDT
