Dear Gurus,

Need your advice about what to check, for getting = connected to db from SQLPLUS or Developer take so quite long = time.
When type in user/pass@service [enter] .... waiting = for about 2 - 3 minutes to get connected to db. or sqlplus = prompt.
Even this done from server console itself.

We're using :
* Oracle 8i db on HP Unix, 750 M SGA,
* port 1521 & 1526 both opened
