Hi Gerardo, No gotchas that I know of. In terms of patches, I don't believe there are any that are required (although I might be wrong), but I would suggest getting the latest version of the Solaris 7 KU (kernel update) Sun patch which is number 106541. I believe the latest version is -12. It also looks like the libthread patch 106980 (latest version -11) could be a good idea. You (or your SA) can check out the full recommended patch list for Solaris 7 at sunsolve.sun.com. Also check the Oracle 8i/Solaris 7 release notes to see if there is anything more recommended there.
