Subject: RE: How to avoid Password in shell script

You should be able to set up an externally authenticated account that is the
same as the userid the cron job runs from.  Then you can just login with a
"SQLPLUS /" and it will go right in.

See "Authentication by the Operating System" in Chapter 26 of the Concepts
manual.
