Anyone had success with the silent install of Oracle 8.1.6.1 on Linux? I have checked my svrminimal.rsp file several times an everything looks good but...
oracle_at_SID:o8.1.6 /home/oracle/cdrom/Oracle8iR2 > ./runInstaller
-silent -responseFile /home/oracle/svrminimal.rsp
oracle_at_SID:o8.1.6 /home/oracle/cdrom/Oracle8iR2 > Initializing Java
Virtual Machine from
../stage/Components/oracle.swd.jre/1.1.8/1/DataFiles/Expanded/linux/bin/jre.
Please wait...
all I get after this is my prompt again. No error messages, checked /tmp.
Thanks, Dave Turner
