Subject: ADMIN: *** ALL LIST MEMBERS MUST READ THIS ***

Hi folks...

Aside from the nasty virus problems of yesterday, there were a couple issues
that came up again, so please bear with me for a moment.  These are
important points.

1) Any time you see a Subject: line with "ADMIN:" in it, please read that
message.  It is NOT optional.  The agreement that I (as list administrator)
have with you (as list member) is that if you see those, you'll ALWAYS read
them.  In return, I will only use that prefix sparingly and for important
subjects.  A number of people are ignoring these messages, and that is not
acceptable.  You MUST read them, every time you seem them.

2) Do NOT send attachments to the list.  I thought that most everyone caught
this, but apparently not.  It is not an appropriate use of mailing lists to
send attached files to a list.  ListGuru filters them out for the most part,
but that doesn't stop the endless "I can't read that attachment -- could you
resend it?" types of replies.  They're annoying for everyone else, and
useless as it won't ever succeed.  If want to send an attachment, either
send it directly to the interested party, or post a message saying you'll
send (via private mail) it to whoever requests it.

3) All mailing list commands go to the address: ListGuru@fatcity.com, NOT
the actual mailing list.  If you send to the mailing list, your command
won't be processed.  ALL commands must go to that address, not the list.
This includes requests for help, set commands to change to DIGEST mode,
commands to leave the list, etc.
