I know that tablespaces group all of an application's objects to SIMPLIFY certain administrative operations. 1) What are admn. operations on all application's objects. eg : backup. What other admn. operations could be there ? 2) Does tablespaces only simplyfy admn. operations on objects ? What are the other advantages of having tablespaces (other than security of remaining applications once a specific application get corrupted) ? In other words, why are tablespaces required ? Can't we do without them taking Database as an only entity ? Thanks in Advance, Rajesh ******************************************************************************* --## Address ##-- Name : RAJESH.S.BHAVE | Software Engineer, Project : WWOMS | Hewlett - Packard, Mail : rajeshb@vishnu.india.hp.com | International Software Fax : (91-80) 220 0196 | Operations, Telnet : 847 1007 | II Floor, 29,Cunningham Road, Telephone : (91-80) 225 1554 | Bangalore - 560 052, Ext.No. : 305 | Karnataka - India. ******************************************************************************
