we have an older system whose database is in sybase and recently we installed a new system whose database is in oracle 10g.We generate separate reports from a both systems.
Now we want to integrate both the system for generating reports. Is it possible to create a dblink from oracle system to sybase system so that a combined report can be generated or if there is any other method please help.

thanks in advance.

Yes, you have to use Heterogeneous Services.
For an introduction, see Database Administrator's Guide
Chapter 29 Distributed Database Concepts
Section Distributed Database Architecture
Subsection Heterogeneous Distributed Database Systems
Then follow the links.
