Can't initialize OCI error occured during the login process using TOAD 9.0

I have installed the Toad 9.0 recently while login using the username & password for oracle 10.0 database , i am getting the error

Can't initialize OCI Error 1

But i am able to login using the Sql Plus successfully..

Hi,

Does the machine that you are using TOAD on have more than once instance of Oracle running on it? If so try using the excellent Oracle Locator Express which can be found here:

http://www.dbmotive.com/oracle_home_selector.php

This will ensure that you are using the correct Oracle Home.
