I have browsed oracle's getting started site on oracle forms....
I am still a little confused and need some direction..

I have a few questions....

When applications are compiled where do they reside?
Do they have to be on the database server, or can they be on any server, with or without oracle? ie... could they reside on a different server connecting remotely to oracle over sql*plus.

A Form is compiled and then generated into an FMX file. They can reside anywhere on the network so long as they are 'visible' to the runtime environment.

So... We our system has Oracle 10g... All the clients have jinitiator..... so would each compiled .fmv file create a remote connection with the oracle database?
