Dear friends,
Please let me know , how to import and export from forms 6i??

My O.S. is XP .
i also hv oracle 9i on my machine.

Plz, tell me how to import and export tables from forms 6i.

There are you command IMP and EXP that do the job. Search for Oracle IMP and Oracle Exp.

No david it does not mean read and write.Its the back up of tables in database which is achieved by imp & exp.


When you are installing 9i,it will install EXP.exe and IMP.exe.

But when i am calling it by host like for e.g

Host('exp abc/abc@db file=C:\abc.DMP tables= tab1,tab2 log = C:\log1.log);

but it does not work.

Gives me an error that plz check ORACLE_HOME is set correctly.

Then define the 'oracle_home' in the 'environment' of your PC. (Click on the desktop, press F1, and search.)
