Hi experts,

Is there any way to install doskey like option(i.e.to execute previous queries using up arrow and down arrow keys)waiting for your valuable thoughts....

Just use the command line version of SQL*Plus

Check here for a tool called rlwrap that will provide DOS Key functionality on UNIX/Linux.

That's ok - there is a command line version of SQL*Plus available on Linux.
