Hi All,
Good Morning.

Scenario:

tabelspace A's size is 200MB.
The datafile size is 180 MB.
As the next extent size is 30MB, it is unable to allocate space for next extent.

For this,
can - Add one more datafile.

But no space in harddisk and can't get harddisk for next 5 hrs.

I suggest to decrease the extend size.

Is there anyother solution to this.

Actually what is the right method to over come this?

Thanks.

Raja

Nothing much.
Either stop inserting/updating data
or
Add more storage.
YOu can scrap some space here and there by rebuilding the tables/indexes, compressing them or archiving the old data away.
But whatever you do, it is a temporary fix.
