Hi all,

I'm using an ETL tool to load staging tables that are then used as sources for future query's.

At the beginning of the job I truncate the tables. I analyze then after the load to provide up to data statistics when they are used as a source for the next query.

My question is, should I analyze the newly truncated staging tables before I load them, will that help with the performance of the load. After load I have 2.2 million rows which remain till the next run.

I'm on Oracle 9i running on Solaris.

Cheers

Allie
