Hi All,
Please help me as this is urgent and delivery is near.

I am using the following command to attach a report output (.out) file to the mail sent to clients.

uuencode abc.out abc.out | mailx -s "hello file attach" abc@domain.com

But all i get is junk characters in the message body, beginning with begin 644 o1261764.out(filename) and ending with, end.

I am working on
Oracle RDBMS : 9.2.0.5.0
Oracle Applications : 11.5.9 running on
SunOS 5.9

What is that i am missing? Any setups to be done?

Thanks in advance,
manumaan.

Your browser/mail client needs to understand how to handle ".out". Check the mime-type settings. Try changing the extention of the second abc.out to something else (like .txt if it's a text file).
