Hi ,

I am trying to Install Oracle APps Ver 11.5.9 on Windows 2000.

I have done the following:

1.Applied Service pack 4 2.Installed GNUmake 3.77 3. Installed Java Ver 1.3.1_10 4. Created a domain .5.Installed VC++ Ver 6

THe onething i am doing different from what Oracle recommends is ,Instead of MKS Tools , I am using cygwin , Which is not letting me create the config file . And the error is not very explantory and i am in a fix now.

THe reason i am not using MKS Tools is the cost $480 for a Single User mode while cygwin is a free download.Oracle does'nt include this in the Installtion CDs .

I am pasting the error below :

1.�System Utilities Check :�� command : cmd.exe /c C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorDesktop11i_start_cdrapidwizbincheckutil.cmd c:cygwinbin C:vc98bin

2.Operating System Check�� command : cmd.exe /c C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorDesktop11i_start_cdrapidwizbincheckOS.cmd

�� Error -�� Operating System patch/version test has returned an error:� 1

Any Help is appreciated

I am getting different error.

I get "Performing database characterset conversion adsvdcnv.cmd" message and then my computer doesn't do anything.

From where you installed
1.Applied Service pack 4
2.Installed GNUmake 3.77 3.
3. How you created domain

hi bala,
well it seems this kind of problem is killing the enthusiasm of many .... nywya whatever....i would sincierly appreciate ur help in ensuring a mks toolkit copy to me at the earliest..
i am in india and i do come on chat in yahoo with the same id as manish_ kuma.
i am using windows 2000 server,pentium 4 2.8gh HT
wigt 512 mb RAM fsb and 256 cache.
i have tried to install twice and the only froblem is mks toolkit... i know i cannot aford to buy this ...
looking forward for ur co-operation

try it on windows 2000 server or advance server...caz i too have got the same error wat u have got okay....i guess there should no problem caz ur cygwin

I am also getting problem while installing 11i on win2000 server. I need a copy of MKS Toolktit. I am in Qatar(middle east). Can I download from your PC? or Is it possible you can send the same? Expecting your kind reply.

I try to install 11i on windows standalone server. It requires a domain. How to create a domain on standalong server? what is the work around?
Anybody hava any idea?

Any Guru can help I have the same error:

System Utilities Check : command : cmd.exe /c F:Stage11iStartCDDisk1rapidwizbincheckutil.cmd C:MKS C:MVSMSDev98
F:Stage11iStartCDDisk1rapidwiz>echo off

'which' command is not available. Check MKS installation.

ERRORCODE = 1 ERRORCODE_END

Error - System Utilities Availability test has returned an error: 1
