not able to generate gnumake.exe in windows 2000 server [message #95106]

Hi,

I have windows 2000 server with service pack 2.0.
I want to install the oracle 11i (11.5.3) over this and i am getting some errors while doing that.Can anyone help me in solving this problem.

I have done the following
1) copied the tar.exe and gunzip.exe to the
c:winntsystem32 folder
2) Installed vc++ 6.0 at c:vcplus6 folder
3) Installed the service pack 4 for vc++6
4) I have installed the MKS toolkit 8.0 under
c:mkstoolkit folder
5) I have downloaded the make-3.79.1.tar file,unzipped it and from that i have run the batch file build_w32 and it has created a folder called WINREL ,but i am not able to find gnumake.exe file under that folder,i can see only gnumake.pch under that folder

Now when i install the oracle11i applications software, it is giving me the errors

running command : which gnumake.exe | grep /gnumake.exe
Error - 'make' in path test has returned an error: 1
running command : which cc | grep /cc
'cc' in path test has suceeded
-----------------------------------------

Can anyone help me what to do,i am missing something.

Please guide me in this regard.

I have the same problem when I install Oracle App 11i
on Windows XP. The only and last problem I have.

i have the problem in Oracle financial instalation and it is asking for the gnumakefile and idont have the idea about how to creat the gnumake file so please tell me the details about the file where create and what should i do in that file

hai guyz..!!! i heard that u found a problem...with GNU make..i think u can go to http://www.mingw.org/download.shtml
and just read that..i think we can install this substituting GNUmake..i am nto sure...just try this out n tell me...

n can u guyz send me MKS toolkit......thanks in advance
