I try to install Oracle9iAS on Pentium4/Window2000.
The problem is : oracle9iAs(IAS) needs domain name, and I use workgroup in my LAN.
I wrote <IPADDRESS> <DOMAIN_NAME> in hosts file, but the same problem continued.

Somebody help me, please.

9iAS just ask for a domain name Which would be configured as

<computer_name>.home.org

When installing Oraclle 9i / 10g U must give ur computer name as full domain name and this domain name is not a must domain it can be workgroup. but fully qualified name for example

appsrv.home.org

Thanx
