Dear All,

Logical database of production is affected with bug. We got the online patch for it. Also got rollback patch. But no-where mentioned about the backup. So I would like to know if backup is required then do I need to take full oracle_home backup? Since it is in running stage, do the backup will be valid. Can I able to rollback if any issue arise?

MOS document id 1265700.1

Please suggest...

Regards,
Ashish Kumar Mahanta

Unless specify in the patch documentation you have not to save oracle home as the OPatch is able to rollback a patch (unless once again it is specified in the readme file it can't).
