Guys,

Can you suggest any other utilities that we can use to load
data from our PROD server (10g) to DEV server (9i)?
I've read some related topics here that it's not possible to
import from a HIGHER to LOWER versions of Oracle.
We've tried (many times) EXPorting selected tables from the 10g dB, then IMPort it to the 9i dB and we've haven't succeeded anyhow. PROD & DEV have a different schema/owner but the same table structures.

Thanks in advance.

Yes you can import into a lower version but you must first export with exp utility of this lower version (exp 9i in your case).
It works unless you use some specific features that are not available in 9i.

Thanks for this sir...
But please elaborate more for me.

How can we get then the 10g data to be loaded to 9i?
Our Apps team need the data from the production
to simulate, then enhanced the applications' reports
generation features.

I just heard of the DATA PUMP or SQLLOAD utility of
Oracle, can we just use this instead?
Sorry for this, I'm not an experienced DBA.

Thanks again.

use DB_LINK between the 2 databases.
