Hai,

Users are connecting to application by typing the following PRIMARY URL. But I would like to avoid single pint of failure. I have also configured another application server as a backup.

PRIMARY oracle 10g Application Server --> http://192.168.1.50:7778/forms/frmservlet?config=live1

BACKUP oracle 10g Application Server --> http://192.168.1.55:7778/forms/frmservlet?config=STANDBY

Now my query is "Incase of PRIMARY Application Server is down, How can I divert end users/primary URL to BACKUP server" with out asking every one to type the other address.

Thanks to every one for stopping here.

Why would anyone answer a spammer?

*Perhaps* it was not spam; two messages were posted within 3 minutes so - maybe it was server (or slow internet connection or ...) which caused @mubeenmd's duplicate post.

Anyway: I have deleted the second message, but - unfortunatelly - don't know the answer to his question.

The exact methodology depends on the options and your architecture.
Look into the HA options
