hi I am working on oracle 10g i am looking for transpose ie converting rows to column. Please help if any one has worked on it.

try this

Example of Data Pivots in SQL (rows to columns and columns to rows)

There is also a new pivot function/operator in Oracle SQL. I believe it is available in 10g, but I have never used it.
