Is there any way to create an excel file other than using OLE?
I am using OLE but it is too slow, eg 200,000 records take round about 2 hours to create an excel. So i am looking for an alternative.

[EDITED by LF: switched "title" and "product, version, OS" fields]

And do you want to Create the spreadsheet, or just add data into it?

no we need to create an excel file only. We just need to add data and save it on the disk. The disk can be on server as well.

Output the data in XML format since Excel can read it.

Will it be faster than OLE? Can you refer me to any example for creating data into XML and then to excel?
