reduce rman backup size [message #399484]

i have dropped many objects (tables and indexes ) of the total size of approx 10 GB.
However the size of the RMAN backup has not decreased. It is still the same. I am not using compress option as it takes a lot of time. Any other way to reduce the rman backup size.Please help..

- Move your objects in new tablespaces and drop old ones.
- Export/drop objects/shrink files/import

Thanks for the reply.I have already dropped many objects . But the size of the RMAN backup is still the same . what is the reason for it ?

shrink files.

RMAN still export blocks that have been used some day.
